Muscogee Creek War of 1836
In retaliation for the land stealing, raping, and beatings, several Creek chiefs, including Eneah Emathla and Jim Henry, lead warriors on attacks on the American settlements and steamboats carrying U.S. troops. U.S. military intervenes and rounds up the Muscogee and their allies, holding them prisoner at Fort Mitchell for deportation to Indian Territory.
